January 14, 2013 – Piedmont Triad International Airport has always been the quick and easy way to travel. Now it has become even more convenient. We are happy to announce the launch of the ExploreThePiedmont.com events calendar. Beautifully designed and simple to use, this calendar will provide travelers with information about events and attractions across the 12-county Piedmont.
Search events by date range, keyword or distance. Once you find what you’re looking for, you can save it, send it to your mobile devices, get directions or buy tickets. You can even watch videos about area attractions and browse and download brochures. It’s like your own personal travel center.
ExploreThePiedmont.com is part of the EverWondr Network. This first-of-its-kind network connects local event calendars into a central database so that visitors can search once and find all the information they need without hoping from site to site. In total, the content of the site is collected from over 1600 state partners.
Signage throughout the airport will point travelers to the Web address. Travelers can access ExploreThePiedmont.com directly through their smart phones or tablets. Ambassadors at the information booths in the terminal will also have access and can provide visitors with event information about events in the Piedmont Triad.
